Edwards, Betty. Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. J. P. Tarcher: Los Angeles. 1979. An excellent lesson workbook which teaches drawing techniques. Presents overview of brain hemisphere theory as it relates to the arts. Lessons are designed to develop observational skills by engaging the right brain. Teaches how to look at subjects in terms of negative space, shape, and line. Includes some drawing activities which use examples of work by masters.

Edwards, Betty. Drawing on the Artist Within. Simon and Schuster: New York. 1986. An extension and continuation of Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. Combination of philosophy and step-by-step activities to enhance personal creativity and develop drawing skills.
